On the way home from school last Thursday, our younger daughter said to me, "Mama, I'm so sorry. I had school lunch."
"What?"
"I'm sorry. I had school lunch today. It was spaghetti and meatballs, and I just couldn't resist." Accompanied by hands outstretched, palms ups for additional emphasis.
It was all I could do not to burst out laughing. She can resist almost anything we serve her at home, but she cannot resist school cafeteria spaghetti and meatballs?
